CLIENT: INSANE CYBER
I began working as a contract freelance designer for Insane Cyber in September of 2024. When I first came to work for Insane Cyber, they had recently hired a Designer to rebrand their business, and they were looking for someone that could design a tradeshow booth using this new brand identity. I accepted the challenge and presented a concept that worked within their new brand. However, when I initially saw the new brand identity, it was my professional opinion that the design choices weren't serving the brand as it should. With its earthy colors and traditional typography choices, it felt more like a brand for a traditional Native American tribe than an innovative cyber security solution. So while I provided exactly what they asked for, I also provided them an option with concepts for a new brand identity that better communicated their company, products and services.
Over the next year and a half I worked as a contract Graphic Designer creating a new company logo, product and service logos, icons, favicons, a 100+ page comprehensive brand guide, tradeshow booth designs, merch designs, sales sheets, white papers, social media carousels and ads, Powerpoint slides, business cards, case studies, and banner ads.

When Microsoft launched a new international Diversity Talent Acquisition objective, I was responsible for the design, layout and print production for the templates that would be used for all of the newspaper and magazine publications throughout the United States and beyond. These are just a fraction of the layouts that were created and approved by Microsoft's internal brand compliance department.

When Microsoft needed some internal employee emails to get the word out to their employees aged 50+ that their benefits included an option to increase their 401K contributions, I provided these concepts to relay that message. I was responsible for the concept development, the headline, subhead and CTA copy, design and layout.

Microsoft provided a fantastic benefits package to their employees. To remind their employees that they can take advantage of some specific features of their health benefits package to increase their overall health and well-being, they decided to launch an awareness direct mail postcard campaign. I was responsible for the concept development, illustration, layout and print production.

CLIENT: NORTHERN QUEST CASINO
Northern Quest Casino decided they wanted to host an exclusive 3-on-3 basketball event directly following March Madness. The catch? There was only four weeks to prepare from inception to the day of the event. Challenge accepted! Within 24 hours I designed a logo for the event and from there I designed everything Northern Quest needed including digital billboards, newspaper ads, retractable banners, merch, handbills, and hundreds of digital and social media ads. I was responsible for all the design, layout and production.

CLIENT: HIGH WATERMARK
One of my favorite Portland, Oregon venues, The High Watermark, was looking for a new happy hour menu for their slowest business day (Wednesday). This live music, event restaurant and bar packs the house on weekends with their amazing food, staff, stage and backyard heated patio. I provided a few concept directions including this one, titled, 'It Could Be Worse Wednesday' and illustrated symbols of bad luck, spirits, food and dark characters. Just weeks after the event was published the covid pandemic hit the states, so I guess the promotion was right— it could definitely be worse. I'm so glad the High Watermark has survived and thrived since then.
